MEASURING

It’s easy to measure-up your windows yourself to get the right sized curtains or roman blinds. This DIY factor saves you money! Just follow the instructions below and enter your resultant figures on the online order form:

For your Curtains

1. Measure width
Go to your window and measure the width from left (outer) side of left architrave across to right (outer) side of right architrave - with tape straight and tight (pulled firmly). If there’s an existing track measure the length,
however if there is none measure the width of the architraves and add 200mm each side.

If you are unsure of the measuring please do not hesitate to
call us on 0800 776 265

2. Measure height (drop)
Measure the height from the top of track or where you intend the top of the track to be to the floor or below window.

Measure both at the left and right of the window, and record the larger figure as we need to cover the biggest part of the window.

For your Roman Blinds

Roman Blinds are either Flat Stack   i.e   Stacks are level
or Layered Stack i.e   Stacks are layered

Inside-mounted

1. Measure width
Go to window frame and measure width from jamb to jamb with tape straight and tight (pushed firmly against jamb).
Measure both at the top and bottom of the window, and record the smaller figure as we have to fit the blind inside the tightest part of the window. We allow 25mm past each side.

Note anything that might obstruct the blinds such as window catches.
The blinds cannot sit where the catches are but will have to sit in front of them.

2. Measure height (drop)
Measure the vertical drop from the top jamb down to the window sill at the left and right sides, and note down the smaller figure.

Outside-mounted

1. Measure width
Go to window and measure the width from left (outer) side of left architrave across to right (outer) side of right architrave - with tape straight and tight (pulled firmly).

Measure both at the top and bottom of the window, and record the larger figure as we need to cover the biggest part of the window.

2. Measure height (drop)
Measure height from top of upper architrave down to bottom of lower architrave - with tape straight and tight (pulled firmly).
Measure both at the left and right of the window, and record the larger figure as we need to cover the biggest part of the window.
